HOW E WASTE RECYCLING IS DONE

Recycling includes processing and separation of components and raw materials that can be reused in making of new products The process of recycling begins by:-

Collection:- E waste is Collected from all the various legal sources including but not limited to Households, Companies, Corporates, Factories, Offices, Schools, Unorganized sectors like kabadi etc.

DATA Destruction:- Once the Collection is Done all the equipment’s which can store any type of data like Hard Drives, Pen Drives, SD cards is destroyed and video is made of same and send to Producer. They are damaged in such a way that it can never be used again ensuring complete Data Loss. In case Producer want On Site Data Destruction We can do the same also.

Testing:- Many time due to technological upgrades and various other reason we get devices which are fully functional and can be used for next couple of years so in that case we test the devices in which we see scope like a monitor that may be working but has been discarded due to update so we first test that if it is proper functional like a new device than we  send it to our refurbishing section where it is cleaned inside out and refurbished like if its body required any fabrication works and than it is sold. If there are devices which can repaired and than can be useful for next couple of years they are also send to refurbishing section.

Dismantling:- The very first step of e waste recycling is dismantling i.e breaking and separating the devices and than segregating into different similar groups. That makes it very easier to process further. Like if we get 100 LCD AND 100 PRINTERS what they have in common is plastic and circuits, so first plastic housing is removed from all the devices and shredded into smaller pieces to make it easy for storage and transportation. Circuits are stored differently and in same way all the different items are dismantle and stored in similar group.

Recycling:- The last and final step is recycling the dismantled e waste. E waste is made of following items.. Metals Like Copper, Aluminium as wire and iron, steel as cabinets or as screw holding everything together all the collected metals from dismantling are again sorted into similar groups and are than processed for reprocessing like melting them and making ingots or bars which can be used again by manufactures. In the same fashion the dismantled Plastic are shredded further into very small granules which makes them easy to reprocess and they are sold to companies which required plastic as there RAW material. Now Comes the Glass, Light Tubes, OLD crt Screens and all the other glass they are handed over to CHWTSDF (Common Hazardous Waste treatment storage and Disposal Facility) where they are sent into landfills, PVC wire Rubbers are also send to CHWTSDF as they cannot be recycled. Glasses can be recycled but there are many problems to it and the recycled glasses cannot be used everywhere. The Last and most important part of e waste Recycling is recycling PCBs and recovering Precious Metals. PCBs are sent to special unit where they are treated with different machineries and chemicals which extract the precious metals like, GOLD, SILVER, PLATINUM, COPPER AND ALUMINIUM.
